Heat, pineapples and daughters

Monday afternoon after work I get into my car, buckle up, and I get ready to leave but I look up and see my rear view mirror hanging....yes just dangling there.  I found that to be quite odd.  I couldn't get it back up, the more I looked at it the more I realized that it had gotten too hot and apparently the mirror was stuck to the windshield with some special glue and it the heat separated it.

I went to pick up Sara from her friend's house and then went to the dealership.  They fixed it.  It turned out to be a long Monday, we didn't get home until almost 7:00 p.m.  not what I had planned on a Monday afternoon but things happen.

I'm having so much fun with my nail color strips that stick on like a sticker and last for about two weeks!  What can I say its the little things in life that bring a smile to your face.

Karlee went to Minnesota with Natalie and her family for a vacation.  Natalie's grandpa has a cabin by a lake.

She looks like she is having a great time.  The view behind her is so nice.  I love water, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, ponds, ocean you name it, so I'm a little jealous :)  I happy that she has the opportunity to experience new things in her life.

My youngest, Sara has reached the next step.....to find her first job!  I created this letter for her but apparently we need to also create a resume even though she doesn't have a work history.  We will work on that this weekend.

Life has its moments when you can't explain and then when you relax and enjoy and then when you learn and grow but you always keep moving forward making the most out of each and every moment.

Date night, exploring, hanging out & more

Last Friday night we enjoyed a date night.  It started a little rough with Ben's mood from the day but we soon worked through it and had a nice time.  We ran a few errands and then we went to eat dinner at the Crown Railroad Restaurant, its one of our spots.

We got home around 5:30 and then he said lets go for a drive.  So we did and a couple hours later we returned home to pick up his mom and then we went out again and our exploring ending around 9:00 p.m.  The drive really helped Ben's mood and it was also fun to explore Parks and we saw so many critters on our way.  We saw a big porcupine, and they move pretty quick too.  Also a few coyotes, lots of cows and below is not a good pic but a herd of sheep.

We came across this trailhead sign.  I took a pic of it so I could look it up online and read about it.

This the view from the sign, it went down pretty steep and we both looked at each other and said, nope. It might be a pretty hike but it might be too hard than what we are used to at this time.

Saturday morning I started the day out like I've been doing lately on the weekends, outside with my coffee.

Ben, Susan and I decided we would go run a few errands together.  We rode in  Susan's new truck.  It has so much room in the back!  Took pics to try to show how much space with Ben back there.

Got a message from my oldest and she said that she was working out on patio and that if I was in town I should stop by.

So we did and we ordered lunch.

I like this picture of Susan, a big happy smile :) relaxing and having fun.

They changed up the menu a while back.  We all tried something new and it was yummy.

My street tacos

We went to Violas to use some of a gift certificate that I had so we could plant some flowers out front.

We got home around 3:30 and decided that it was a nice hot afternoon to grab a beer and sit out under as much shade as we could have against the house on the deck while Susan smoked some steaks for dinner.

I recently found my frog wind chime. It makes me happy to hear it.

Susan pouring her secret on the meat.

White boy getting some sun.

I liked how the sun was on the plants so I took a pic.

Our yummy steak dinner.

Kyle came out to join us.

Got a fire started in the chimaera, you know what that means....this is where we will be the rest of the evening into the night.

Selfie time!

Selfie with mom son :)

We stayed out listening to music, talking and enjoying each others company until about midnight.  It was so fun to hang out with my son.

Another Birthday without daddy

July 9th

My daddy is never far from my thoughts.  There are times I talk to him.  The kids and I do our best to celebrate his birthday with remembering him and enjoying pizza, this year was not forgotten.

July Fourth 2019

My beautiful girls.

Still not used to her dark colored hair but she is still beautiful inside and out.

Karlee's group of friends

For the fourth of July this year we didn't do too much, we kept it low key.  We did go over to Karlee's BBQ at her place with her room mates.  It was fun.  Ben and I were the only older adults/parents there surrounded by a group of 20 somethings.  It was quite entertaining sitting there watching and listening to them talk.  The best part for me which I enjoyed was the fact that I could just sit there and enjoy it all.  I didn't have to make sure things were set up, deal with the food, or entertain.  It was nice to watch my daughter handle things with her room mates and friends.  She does come across as the "mother" of the group.  I think its great.  I'd like to think I have something to do with that :)

Trust, have faith and live each moment

Some days you just need to take a moment to breathe.  Take a moment to sit and be.  Take the time to remind yourself that you are not on your own in this world.  Look above, take a deep breathe in and release, leaving a smile on your face and peace in your heart knowing that God has you right where he needs you to be.  God has you and you are not on your own. God has a plan. Rest in Him.
