Thank You Lord

Lord you are an awesome all knowing God.  You know who to place in my path when needed.  I went to babysit at church the other day.  I was surrounded by very active little people.  I left very tired but I also felt comforted, encouraged...like I wasn't the only one in the boat I'm in.  Feeling like you are the only one at times is tough and hard.  Knowing that you are not the only is such a comfort in an odd way...since neither one wants to be where they may at "together".  Yes, we watched the children and ran after them but there were moments that God allowed for us to share with each other.  I felt like God spoke through this person to me, saying what I needed to hear in the way I needed too.  Thank you Lord for placing her in my path and I look forward to exploring this new friendship with you beside us both.

Awaken

This morning I walked the dogs and I looked around at how quickly the snow that we had is gone. (still some in some places)  Amazed at how quickly it left and now everything has seemed to awaken.  This morning had the feel of Spring all around me even inside of me.  I feel like I've been awaken.  Awaken to a new mood inside and out.  Thank you Lord.

I enjoyed taking it all in as I walked the dogs and I could hear God whisper in my heart as I silently lifted up a prayer to him.  Things may not be perfect in my life but they never will be, they will only be "God Perfect" according to his plan and in the mean time I've been awaken to His amazing and powerful love as I look up to Him and all around at his creation.  Awaken

Spring Break

To continue from my previous post about Karlee's spring break, I will continue to share what the rest of us did during that week.  Dillon, my step-son went out to Cameron for the week to spend time with his grandparents and his little brothers and sister.  His mother was there too and was able to spend some time with her also.  He hadn't seen his mom in a long time and there is some distance between them but he came back saying he had a nice time visiting in Cameron.  I'm glad it turned out to be a nice week for him.

So that leaves Kyle and Sara.  Yep they were stuck with me.  Well not stuck but it was just the three of us during the day since Micah was working.  I enjoyed the week with them.  It was nice to have just my two younger ones.  We had a nice week.  We had dental appointments and things like that but I managed to have some fun with them.

Monday-nothing, we had a lazy day around the house, you know the kind...in our jammies and movie after movie.

Tuesday-We went to the movies and saw the new Dr. Sues movie, the Lorax.  After the movie I gave them a dollar to play a driving game in the arcade.  Later they continued to bond together by getting along and setting up sleeping bags down stairs to sleep in the living room together and stay up watching movies together.

Big brother showing little sister what car to pick

Oddly enough Sara was actually head of Kyle and winning the race..Sara driving hmmm

Wednesday-Started off taking Kyle to his appointment at the out patient part in the hospital to get a shot for an exam later in the afternoon to look at his back. (he's had pain for awhile and may have a stress fracture and normal x-ray didn't pick up anything)  So he got a shot with radio active stuff so they can see his bones.  We called him Radioactive Boy for the day.  We had to go back at 1:30 for the exam so until then we went to the library and got pizza for lunch.  I washed the van and the two of them were still getting along and they slept in the living room again.

I really enjoyed and loved watching them get along so much.  Great memories were made this week.

Thursday-Kyle's dentist apt., lunch with their dad and then we went ice skating.

Friday-They started to go their separate ways...Sara went to a friends house in the afternoon for a play date then sleep over.  Kyle went ice skating with a friend then a sleep over.  That left me having most of the day by myself.  Dillon came back the night before.  He spent his time at the skate park.  Micah worked.  That evening the three of us went out to dinner and had Chinese food at China Star.

I enjoyed the week, the weather was perfect, all geared up and excited about spring then.....a storm hit and we were covered with a thick white blanket of snow.  The kids didn't go back on Monday to school since it had snowed so much.  But as fast as it came it also went fast too and now we are looking into spring again.

Melting fast to uncover Spring.  It was neat to walk the dogs and hear natures symphony with a drip here and there and a running down of snow melting .

Karlee's Spring Break

This year I only had two of my kids home for spring break.  My oldest daughter Karlee went on her first mini mission trip.  She went to inner city L.A. for a week with the youth group from our church.  I was a little nervous at first but I was excited for her at the same time.  It turned out to be a small cozy group and that put me to ease.  As soon as I picked her up I started asking questions and she shared some but she was tired so I didn't ask anymore.  She wrote a wonderful note to the person who donated money for her to be able to go.  I know it was a great trip and it touched her life as it touched the people she was around while she was there.  I'm so happy that she was able to experience such a trip.  She was able to make new friendships, see new places, help people, play with children, have some fun, sight seeing, and try new food.

Randomly Updating

I've got spring fever!

Karlee has enjoyed choir this year so much.  I'm so proud of her, she went to Prescott and sang a solo and scored very high and got an Excellent rating.

The kids are signed up and anxiously awaiting the new Baseball/Softball season.

Kyle has had a pain in his lower back for a while now.  He has to have a bone scan since the normal x-ray didn't pick anything up.  The doctor thinks he could have a small stress fracture.  If that is the case then he has to lay low on his activities especially sports until it heals.  I'm not sure how still a boy can be.....

Sara is doing well, always busy with her little friends.

Dillon is improving on his grades in school and really working hard at keeping them passing.

Micah finally finished that job that took him out of town all those weeks a few months ago.

My ex-husband is now out of the Rescue Mission.  He has a job and has been working now for almost 3wks.  He is staying in a little motel room until he can start saving money so he can find a better place to live.

Well that is it for now.  This week is spring break so we'll see how it ends up and I'll post later on all the happenings of it since everyone is sort of scattered.
Karlee is in L.A. in the inner city part with the youth group for the week, doing a mission trip.
Dillon is in Cameron with his grandparents.
Kyle had gone to Lake Havasu with a friend and his family over the weekend but now I'm not sure what he'll be up to...
Sara has been sleep over after sleep over so far these last few days.

Randomly Updating completed for now....

What else is there really?

"Every problem great or small has in it a treasure waiting to be discovered.  The secret to successful treasure hunting is understanding two life changing words: faith and love."

I read this quote over and over and sat there thinking "what else is there really?"  When I find myself in the midst of a "problem" I lean on God and trust that he will get me through the "problem".  I also know that he loves me very much.  He wants me to have a strong faith in Him and to love others as he loves me.

The above is just a thought to ponder on

He said

He said to love, trust and seek.

Choose to love
Love
Love when you don't feel like it
Love when you are frustrated
Those are the moments it will express the most.

Trust
Trust when you don't understand
Trust when you feel like giving up.

Seek
Seek me in the morning to start your day.
Seek me in the middle of the day.
Seek me to get you from moment to moment.
