In the tapestry of my life, His grace is the thread that binds each moment. Through my roles as a friend, daughter, sister, and mother of three, I discover hidden treasures that strengthen my faith and draw me closer to God. In the small moments—the laughter of loved ones, the warmth of a sunrise—I find the Holy Spirit's gentle touch, bringing life, love, and laughter to my heart. These everyday encounters teach me to trust and deepen my relationship with God.

Kyle Time
On Friday morning Kyle texted me and asked if I would going to town today, he wanted his sheets that I had gotten him for his birthday. I wasn't sure at the moment what I was going to do. I talked with Sara and we were both tired from our night of painting with Karlee. We decided to not lay around all day and go to town. It turned out that Kyle wasn't at work, apparently he had not worked since Monday. When it comes to spending time with Kyle, its a sure thing when you involve food in the idea.
Sara and I go to pick up Kyle and then we head to Some Burros for lunch. We enjoyed good conversation, in fact I was surprised and proud. Kyle has realized that he would like to get out a little more and meet people and not just go home and play video games. He has always been more comfortable with being alone. He also said that he wants to get a small part time job like bussing tables or being in the back washing dishes just so that he can earn a little extra money for gas and groceries to help get him out of the rut he is in with his finances. He needs to make a little more money. It all sounded great to me and I think it will help him in several ways with feeling more connected to the world, meeting new people, making a little extra money and just getting out of his rut.
After lunch we went to the pet store together so that he could buy Lily a harness to make walking her easier on her and whoever takes her for walks. Once he was done with that he wanted to go back home. It was a short time with him but I made the most of it. I love spending time with my son. I love it when he wants to talk and share things with me.
Sara and I went on our way to do a few more things before we headed home.
Kyle sent these pics later in the day of Lily, she is such a sweet dog.

A Weekend of Gratefulness
3-17-21 This morning I sit here reflecting on the weekend and feeling very grateful. On Saturday morning we headed to Phoenix to meet up with a nice couple that Susan and Ben are connected to through her marriage to Ben's step dad, named Don. We met up at the Cracker Barrel. We enjoyed a nice lunch and conversation. After everyone said their good-byes and took a few pictures we went or separate ways. Ben drove us over Dan's house (Susan's boyfriend) to visit him a little bit before heading back home. We left Dan's around 3:30 p.m. When we had left Parks that morning it was a cloudy cold morning with promise of snow later in the day. While we were in Phoenix, around 1:30 or so I got a called from Sara letting me know she was off work and also sharing how yucky the weather was at that time in Flagstaff.
We proceed down the road. Ben asked his mom to check the traffic ahead on her phone so we would know if there was any issues to prepare for ahead as we were driving home. Susan announced that there were a couple of traffic issues with accidents at two different spots along the way. Susan said that her phone was saying that it would take us extra time to get home. We decide to stop at McDonalds at Camp Verde. There were people moving around as if they had been sitting in a car for a long time after dealing with bad roads and weather. A man had shared how bad the weather was and to be prepared to sit and wait and to take it slow and easy as we continue home. We grabbed some food and got back in the truck and heading on down the road.
We did end up running into bad weather, bad roads, stuck cars and big trucks. It took us 7 hours to get home. We were home at 10:30 p.m. It turned out to be a long day.....
We are very thankful that it wasn't worse. If it wasn't for the big pile of snow on the ground she could have flipped and rolled. She had been wearing her granddaddy's jacket and said that she felt like she had been watched over and taken care of. I said yes she was by God and both of her grand pa's. :)
