Silly Spontaneous & Bowling Friday Night

I'm usually always looking forward to the work day on Fridays to end, because that means after an hour after I get off work then Ben and I can be together.  I check on my kids to see what they are up to and what their plans are with being home and dinner.  They both had eaten late so that meant that Ben and I could have a dinner date.  We went to Village Inn to enjoy their Friday all you can Fish Fry.  Afterwards we went back to my place to figure out what we would do next or just start relaxing with Netflix.

Well ever since Sara got her permit she is always looking for a reason to go somewhere so that she can drive.  When Ben is around I let her drive more and give the "instructor hat" over to him.  I try not to stress out but I really do so when I have a chance to not have that role I do.  Anyways we get home and she is bored and doesn't know what to do with herself, all her friends are busy or on vacation.

Ben wanted to go walk around Best Buy and she wanted to go to Marshalls.  So we get in my car and I get in the back seat and off we went.  Sara does fine driving I don't know why I stress out but I do.

Ben found the giant orange shoes again and pointed them out to Sara and this is what you get a little young girl in giant orange shoes....silly silly!

Being silly!

And here we are again with these guys!  Ben and I had been back at my place for a while after going to Best Buy and Marshals.  We had been sitting outside on my porch where it was a little cooler than inside.  We were getting ready to go in and start watching Netflix when Dezi said lets go bowling!  So off we went.  We had fun.  (Sara went with us too but she was a-little tired and moody so she will not appear in the pics lol)

4th of July 2018 Friends, Fun & Smiles

Hi!  This picture is of me and my smiling face.....yes we see that Katrina :) but what you didn't know, and maybe you do, is that there is happiness behind that smile and a progression of acceptance.  I will explain simply, I'm wearing a hat, a tank top and you can't see in this picture but shorts.  Yeah so what you might be saying.....well for me that is a big deal.  It shows that its way to hot in Flagstaff now lol but seriously it shows how I've become a little more accepting of who I am and how I look.  Its been a journey and it has a ton to do with having someone in my life that truly accepts me, all of me.  With that comes happiness and self confidence and joy from within.  Anyways I just wanted to share that little bit of truth that I came to realize when I went out looking cute in my shorts and converse :)

Here is the guy that is responsible for more smiles and laughter in my life these days.

I love going bare foot, especially when there is a chance outside in the grass.  We met up with some friends and went to the Lights in the Lawn to celebrate a non-fireworks 4th of July.  Its been so dry that there is danger of burning down Flagstaff AZ, no seriously its been bad with how little moisture we have not gotten.

That's my friend, Dez, she is fun to be around.  Her family is fun with her two little ones.  We spent most of the time watching them run around and play.

I love this guy being apart of my life :)

Last year around this time he and I were just getting to know each other.  Dezi and her family were out of town for the 4th.  We all had enjoyed the rodeo together.  I was so nervous and it was awkward because neither one of us knew how to be after not "dating" for so long.   Last year I was at home sitting on my couch trying to find the courage to text Ben and ask him to go with Sara and I to the Light on Lawn but I didn't.  He said if I had asked he would of gone.....Last year Sara and her friend and I went. The girls and I had fun.  It was still a time of venturing out for me and dealing with moving on.

Dezi and I

The four of us!  There is always so much laughter when we are all together!

It was a great day!

Rodeo Weekend

This past weekend was so much fun but I'm so worn out!  Friday night Ben, and his mom and I head to the rodeo.  We met up with a friend and Karlee was there too.  We enjoyed the rodeo.

Saturday morning Ben and I got up at 6:00 a.m.! I know you read it right 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday!  I'm not sure why but we did and we couldn't go back to sleep so we just got up and got our day started!  We dropped his truck off for an oil change, went and looked at boots and he bought me a pair of boots!  I was super excited and couldn't wait until later to put them on to go to the rodeo!  We went to the Galaxy Diner for a yummy breakfast, then off to the park downtown to the Art in the Park.  We walked around there for a bit and then downtown until the "wine garden" opened up.  I tasted a few different wines and then we went back to my place briefly.  Karlee met us there and then we went to lunch with her at Salsa Brava before she had to go to work.

Ben's mom met us at my place and then we all headed to the Rodeo, this time Sara came along with us.  We all enjoyed the rodeo and the yummy expensive food that comes with the event.  It wasn't long for me to start to feel tired after the long fun day but we made it through to the end of it.

Me getting ready to head out to the Rodeo, Friday night.

My friend Dezi and I.

Saturday
At the Art in the Park

At the Wine Garden, I enjoyed some tasty wine.

Walking around downtown.

Sara wanted to go driving so we all got in my car.  We took a little detour to the duck pond and had a quick little photo shoot of Sara all decked out for the rodeo.

She is 15 1/2 years old!  So crazy!
She is a beautful girl inside and out and her smile shines so bright like the sun!  She is my sunshine.

Heading out to the Rodeo, night number 2, Saturday!

Ben's mom, Susan and us.

It was a fun night!
lol look who needs a selfie stick when you have Ben :)

Mid June memories

I love spending time with my Karlee girl!!

We went to Oakmont and shared a few appetizers and had great conversation.

Father's Day.....

I miss my dad's voice.

I found this picture while I was looking thru pictures of my dad and family the evening before father's day.  The picture is great!  Its of both my grandpas.  My Papa, who was my dad's father, he died of a heart attack when I was like 7 or 8 years old.  Then there is a my mom's father and we called him Pa, he died when I was 12 of colon cancer.  The short time I had them in my life I loved them, I didn't know my Pa as well but I do have a few fond memories of him.

Stephanie and Heather, my sisters!  I've known their family since I was in the first grade.  Steph and I use to be really close best friends, over the years we have grown apart but last year recently reconnected again.

Then there is daddy #2, Roger.  Steph looks just like Roger and Heather looks like Patti-Jo, my mom #2.  They recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary, in El Paso.  I wanted to go but just couldn't make it happen.

Karlee calls me up late afternoon and says mom meet me at that new place and I'll buy you lunch.....
Okay of course I'm going to take her up on it. It was spontaneous and fun and very yummy!

Sara being Ms. Handy "man", putting up her new led light rope around her room.  Silly girl but she did well and managed to get it done.  She was very determined.  I was quite entertained watching her while she put them up.

And then this happened.....Sara bear got her permit!!! Just gotta get the real deal in the mail!
I can't believe she is going to be driving....
