May Highlights Pt. 3

Saturday, May 15th I celebrated my birthday with Karlee and Nat.  We met up late in the afternoon for a drink and then we went shopping.  She bought me a few new items.  Then we enjoyed an amazing dinner at Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar.  The whole experience was so good, the atmosphere, the food, wine, and of course the company was perfect!

My dinner, halibut fish

Nat's Beef Bolognese

Karlee's chicken

A very nice wine

Pics before we went to dinner

Shopping Spree

My funny but yummy drink called Velvet Pajamas

Sunday, May 16th my handsome made me a wonderful Birthday dinner.
I was truly spoiled this year for my birthday.  Very blessed and thankful and very loved.

Ready for an interview

waiting to go in for an interview

Flowers and goodies from Susan and Ben to cheer up after having a bad day.
I was crushed when I found out I didn't get a job that I really felt would be a perfect fit.

May Highlights Pt. 2

Sunday, May 12th Mother's Day
We enjoyed a windy mother's day bbq with music, smiles, and family.

Wed., May 12th my 48th Birthday!

Sara and I spent the day together. We enjoyed a very yummy lunch together at Pita Jungle.

We went over to Beaver Street where Karlee was working and enjoyed dessert before going to have a pedicure done.  It was a great day with my youngest!

Random pics of May

Susan got her and I a building to store our stuff and declutter around here so Ben can eventually have his whole building to himself.

I took my unemployment money out to go deposit into my account and I noticed a little message on the top of one of the 20 dollar bills.

A beautiful bloom!

May Highlights 2021 Pt. 1

I haven't been blogging too much lately.  I'm not sure why, I do love to blog but it seems I don't take the time to do it much anymore.  I do have a new planner, self-care planner type of planner that I've really been using and enjoying, maybe that is it.  I'm too busy on that planner that I haven't felt the need or the energy to blog.  Anyways I will play catch up and show a little of what has been going on for the month of May.  It has been a busy month!!

Oooops I knew I had one more post to add to April....and its a big one!
April 29th my oldest graduated from NAU with a bachelors in Psychology!
I'm super proud!

After a little day drinking celebrating all afternoon with Karlee and her friends, Sara picked me up and took me home and then we enjoyed a little sunshine out front to end a good day.

I love this picture of Sara just sitting there, looking calming out in the distance. She is such a thinker.

May 6th, 2021
Painting has become our thing when we are together.  We enjoy it!

May 7th we celebrated Karlee's graduating at Historic Brewery downtown.  It was so much fun!  She had a great turn out.  I've only posted a few pictures of that day but there were a ton of memories made.  And sadly the awesome day did end with a down side to it.  Scott (my 1st ex husband and the kids dad) ended up having a mild stroke.  The day ended in tears, fear and unknowns but the kids held strong and did what needed to be done and Scott spent about a week in the hospital after that. Since then he is alright and doing better and making improvements in his life.

Saturday Day trip to Gallup NM

 April 18, 2021

Outside of Ben's grandmother's house, its a nice view way up high of Gallup NM.

Ordering lunch....hungry

Navajo Taco of course.....very yummy for my tummy!

See G on the hill? Stands for Gando, my parents lived there when they were in high school.  My mom and dad were just a few of the white kids that lived there and went to school.  My parents lived at Navajo Station where both my grandparents lived while working for the El Paso Natural Gas Company.  I sent this pic to my mom.  She said that she would like to go visit Gando sometime to see how much its changed.  Ben drove through on our home to Flagstaff, it was an interesting feeling as we drove through, I couldn't help but think of my parents and all the stories they had shared over the years.

It was a nice quick day trip. I think we all had a nice time.  I was really along for the drive, since it was more meaningful for Ben and his mom but I enjoyed it.
