My oldest sends me a text message asking me what I was up to and asked if I had any plans for the evening, this was last week on Thursday. I told her no I was going to cook dinner and just relax. I had spent the whole day cleaning out and organizing things around the house and was tired. I wasn't really in the mood to go any where. I thought she would surprise me and say okay great I will come out and hang with you mom, but nope she wanted me to go into town and spend some time with her and spend the night. When it comes to Karlee you need energy and you never know what you'll end up doing either. She is a ton of fun to hang out with but I try to plan things and struggle with being spontaneous. She will be moving soon to Phoenix, I know its only 2 hours away but that changes in things a ton when I can't just go drive to town and be there with her or meet up so easily or have a place to go kill time between things. So with that in mind I took the time to think and figuring out what I was going to do.
Well as you can see I found the energy to head to town and meet up with her to go out to dinner. We weren't sure what we would do after that. I thought well we could go back to her place and relax watching a movie or do some wine and paint night. Karlee really wanted to go out and about.
We enjoyed a yummy drink while we waited for my food at Whisk & Whiskey. It was a neat looking place inside. Karlee's drink was called a purple rain, it was pretty good. I had a house cabernet.

This doesn't even look like my daughter! Look! Look how grown up she looks in the picture above!! So crazy, 23 years old. Just think I was pregnant with her when I was 23 and had her when I was 24! Wow!! Things have changed!

Yep! We went from dinner to another spot! A neat place downtown to have a few drinks. I loved the atmosphere.
We really had fun. Some of Karlee's friends joined us and things got a little silly at times but it was fun.
Karlee's and Nat's kitty came up to sleep on my legs in their bed. Silly kitty.
It was a fun time with my oldest. I'm glad I went to hang out with her, we have to make the most of the time we have until she moves and its a longer in between the times we will get to hang out with each other again.
