2nd Weekend in August

Last week on Thursday, we had some pretty girls join us for dinner outside.

We all enjoyed yummy chicken spaghetti.

Friday night evening.

Saturday!  Its home back in Flagstaff!

A young man and his truck!

So the Kyle tried to drive the truck home the weekend before but it kept over heating and we had to leave it in Jospeh City at a friend of Ben's.  So Saturday morning we got up early and rented a trailer and headed to Joseph City to go get Blue Jay.

Then after bringing the truck home our day wasn't over.  We went and bought a new bed.  We made quite a few trips back and forth to town but it was fun day.

Fence Lake NM

We started August off with going for the weekend to my Uncle's ranch in Fence Lake NM.  We planned the trip to go get my dad's truck that he wanted to give to Kyle.  The truck has history, it was my grandpa's truck (my mom's dad's) and then it became my dad's truck.  My kids and I have so many memories of that truck with my dad and chaparral.  It means a ton to have it back.  My Uncle didn't think it really belonged on the ranch.  His heart told him it needed to go to Kyle, that Kyle needed to have his Pa's truck.

So Ben, Kyle and I headed to Fence Lake after work on Friday, August 2nd.

Beautiful view from my Uncle's porch.

We all had such a good weekend!  It was quite and relaxing.  We plan on going again soon to visit my Uncle.  We fell in love with his place, and the peace and quite.

Late Summer Flowers

Susan & I were late in our flower planting but we got them planted and have been enjoying them ever since.  We did this at the end of July.

Susan preparing the ground after Ben dug it out for us.

Here I am sporting my head wrap, its not a good picture but it was helpful and kept my hair out of my face while planting.

The Museum Fire July 2019

The couple of pictures listed I did not take them, I took them from Facebook.  Around July 21st, Sunday afternoon is when it began.  It was human error, details have not come out to really explain it.  Its quite sad that someone is responsible for such a fire.  It burned for over a week and over 1900 acres of our beautiful mountain.

My heart as so many others was heavy with heart ache as our stomachs churned with such an awful feeling as that fire had burned each day.

Its been a couple of days now but it is 100% official out.  It took a long time before they could get control of it.

More sunsets and exploring kind of weekend

A couple weeks ago I started this post.  We recently moved a few chairs out front with a little table and have started sitting out there.  The view from the front yard has been so pretty.

Couple weeks ago while Kyle was still living with us he went and added to his tattoo of my birthday.  I love the butterfly.

A few weeks ago we went exploring, driving around the area and went to one of the little lakes around here.

Susan added a little critter to our flowers out front, she glows at night.  We call her glo

This was cute because of the frog but its a good little saying too.
